Mijito se fue and Thanksgiving dinner

Super decorated yard!

Merry Christmas!

IHOP Thanksgiving

Fun District!
Hola Hola Mi Familia !

Happy belated Thanksgiving, hope you all enjoyed the turkey! We had two meals this year -- one with duck, and the other with pasolay (spelling?), it's  soup full of meat and chili and corn/popcorn balls. Pretty yummy!  The two ninas that were there are so cute!

We had some super awesome lessons and contacted a LOT of people. We get to use "A Savior Is Born" and it is soooo good! I love how accepting people are to listen to us as this time of year :)

To update, Mihijto se fue! D is now with the English speaking missioanries, he is the coolest! As he said bye and ran back up to his apartment, the silhouette will forever be in my mind. It was like I was a proud mother holding back her tears as her son goes off on a mission. HE IS SO GREAT

This week I chose as an attribute to study, "reverence." There was a super good quote from "True to the Faith"--

"As you become more reverent, you will notice a quiet transformation in your life. The Lord will pour out His Spirit more abundantly upon you. You will be less troubled and confused. You will be able to receive revelation to help you solve person and family problems."

I know this is true! I know this gospel is true! Heavenly Father loves us and everything he does and gives us is for our happiness!

Love you all!!!! Big hugs! Make it a great week!

It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

Hermanas Day and Beidler

Zone

I'm glad to hear everything to going well and Thanksgiving break for you sounds AMAZING!

I'm suuuper excited! We have some amazing plans for this Thanksgiving week, we are eating Thanksgiving dinners and feasting our souls with turkey, baked ham, mashed potatoes, and Spanish chili salsas! AND Wednesday night we're going to help decorate a Christmas tree, I am so thankful for the love felt here!  And  I'm going to make some French silk pies today and enjoy all the food.

We got a super sweet referral from the G family! H and E and their 2 ninas. They are so adorable- they are YOUR ages, Ruby and Rosalie! They always run into sacrament meeting and give me a BIIIIIG hug and follow me around afterwards telling me about their week, the boys, the sass, the adventures jajaja they are so cute!

I was reading in the Ensign from the last conference and loved a quote from President Uchtdorf:

"I wish I could help everyone to understand this one simple fact: we believe in God because of things we know, with our heart and mind, not because of things we do not know. Our spiritual experiences are sometimes too sacred to explain in worldly terms, but that doesn't mean they are not real."

Look around you! There are so many blessings and witnesses and signs of the truth! Write down your impressions, what you learn, how you feel, and be an example and bless those around you! This Gospel is a gospel of happiness!

I love you so much!

Have an amazing Thanksgiving : )

Why I Am Serving a Mission

North Hollywood District

President Henrie, Hermanas Day and Berger
Hey family and friends!

Anyway, I love you all lots and Hna. Berger and I are staying together for another transfer! It will be her 5th transfer in the area! We are suuuuper excited!  Some of my favorite missionaries/friends are here serving together and I am so stoked! :D ...not that I have favorites...

This week has been pretty sweet, many miracles as usual :) I cannot believe that Thanksgiving is coming up so soon!! We're going to some homes this week and next week  to set up some Christmas trees with them. Yay!

I don't have too much today and I'm afraid the power is going to go out because it's been going off and on because of the wind today!

This week I had a cool experience/testimony builder and wrote it down, thought I'd share it:

"People always ask me why I am here serving a mission. At first, it was a simple reason and the usual. It still is. But there's also a lot more to it. I have truly fallen in love with this work -- with this cause. I can feel, in comparison, even the smallest portion of God's everlasting love for us, and I can barely contain it!

To answer this question, I'm going to start with another. The other night someone asked me, "how do you know this Gospel is true?" I heard a little voice whisper in my heart. I always have. From early on, I knew the love of Christ and our Heavenly Father. From there, it all just falls into place. It makes sense. My heart and soul feel full. I wouldn't be me without this gospel in my life.

I stay faithful because I know my Heavenly Father exists and I trust in His every word, counsel, promise, blessing, and warning that He gives--whether through His prophets, the angels around me, the Holy Spirit, or revelation in any form... I know it is of Him.

And that's why I am on a mission. As simple yet complex as that: This gospel is true. Only through sacred ordinances can the promises be fulfilled.

For you out there: There is more. There is hope. There is peace and happiness possible in this life."

I love you all!!!!

#LetYourLightShine

9/28/15 Los Angeles LDS Temple

Hey familia!

This week we had a ton of meetings and did a bunch of trainings on how to be super pumped up and motived for this amazing missionary work!! We talked and learned about how we need to "keep our fire burning" and share the light of this gospel! It was pretty sweet :)

Last Monday we played soccer in the pouring down rain in a muddy field, and it was SO SWEET!!! We were sooo drenched! Eso! Vale la pena!

We've seen miracles every day and are making every day the best day ever. Missionary work is truly the best--especially as we dedicate this specific and short time as full-time missionaries! We are astonished as the blessings and testimonies and miracles come flooding in.

Here's the scripture I am ponderizing this week:

"Oh that I were an angel, and could have the wish of mine heart, that I might go forth and speak with the trump of God, with a voice to shake the earth, and cry repentance unto every people! Year, I would declare unto every soul, as with the voice of thunder, repentance, and the plan of redemption that they should repent and come unto our God, that there might not be more sorrow upon all the face of the earth." (Alma 29:1-2)

Anyway, being a missionary is truly a heavenly experience and I love the constant abundance of the Spirit and the opportunities to teach and share what I know is the TRUE. Let your lights shine!

I love you all so much!

Mission life is amazing and just adventurous as ever!

Baskin Robbins $1 Scoop Day! Hermanas Day and Berger

Elders Adams and Susa

Yummy Cake from Elders on Halloween

Mission life is amazing and just adventurous as ever! We're teaching a family, C family, who are already reading the Book of Mormon and are very excited about this gospel!  We also have been knocking and knocking our little hearts out at every door in sight -- and we're seeing the miracles as inspiration guides our steps! We found one cute little girl who took us over to her family sitting outside, where we taught about the Restoration of the gospel of Jesus Christ. It was super cute :)
Yesterday we had stake conference -- yes, it's all in Spanish! And it was tons of fun to see some people and members from past areas of serving :)

I know this gospel is true. I know it with all my heart and mind. I know that we have been blessed as a family to be together forever and I can't wait to see your faces again in just a few months! But there's also work to be done here that is like no other -- there truly is no description of the joy that comes from seeing the gospel bless lives and recognizing it in your own as well.

This week I've learned a lot about how much help I truly need from my Savior. We cannot do these things alone. And I know that the love of the Savior has overpowering and indescribable power. He truly wants everyone-- all of his children here to return, no matter what. I know my testimony at times is simple, but a simple testimony is still a testimony. What makes it sincere is the story and emotions behind it. The faith and strength of this knowledge will and is and can be felt. I invite you all to bear your testimony this week to one of your friends as well :)

I love you soooooo much!!!!!

hermana Day
